Gwen Jordan, Coastal Artist
Gwen moved from Rougemont, N.C., onto Emerald Isle, N.C. in 2007. From her home overlooking the scenic Atlantic Ocean, nestled in and along the coastline of North Carolina, she is truly inspired by nature's grandeur. Canvas, acrylics, watercolors, vision and true talent are refined into a masterpiece of Artistry. A sense of design and rich colors enhance Gwen's one of a kind paintings. Each painting is truly a work of art. Using the hand of a master, she makes use of an array of colors to create art. Gwen's vision is portrayed as she handcrafts the elements of her paintings. She is a member of the Morehead City Arts Council and has participated in many of their art shows and also Adopt the Artist. In 2010 she won the Art From The Heart Art Award of Excellence for her painting, "The Little Old Fishing Shack". In 2014 she won another Award of Excellence for "Ruling the Roost" in Art From The Heart as well as Honorable Mention and the Yummy Factor Award for "Nature's Bounty" in Carolina Artist's Studio Gallery Competition. She has participated in many art shows and has been the featured artist in many art showings. For 2010-2012 she was the artist for all new medical offices for Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A. in the Raleigh-Durham area.
In addition to traditional painting, Gwen also welcomes the challenge of commissioned art projects to include murals, hand painted furniture, and an assortment of hand painted glassware. Art belongs on every surface possible. |
